What is Random Group Generator?

A fast classroom grouping tool for teachers

Random Group Generator is a standalone classroom tool inside Class Name Spinner. It takes your current Quick list or one of your saved classes and creates balanced random groups that you can preview, reshuffle, and present on a large screen.

Uses your current class list

You can generate groups from the students already on your Students page as Quick list, or switch to one of your saved classes first.

Build by number or size

Choose how many groups you want, or how many students should go into each group, then generate a fresh random split.

Presentation ready

After generating groups, open presentation mode to show the group list clearly on a projector or large display.

How it works

1. Choose your class

Use Quick list for the current Students page, or switch to one of your saved classes.

2. Set the split

Choose whether you want to build groups by number of groups or by students per group.

3. Generate

Create a fresh random grouping and rerun it as many times as you like.

4. Present

Open presentation mode to show the final groups clearly to the class.
