Class Name Spinner How To

This guide walks through the simplest way to use the current Students list as a Quick list, switch to a saved class when needed, organise houses or groups, spin the wheel, award points, and export results. The demonstration images below mirror how the app is designed to work.

1. Add students

Open Setup > Students, paste one name per line, and press Use names.

2. Organise groups

Open Setup > Groups to create houses or teams, then drag students into the right group.

3. Choose your list

On Home, leave the selector on Quick list to use the current Students page, or switch to one of your saved classes.

4. Spin and record

Open the Class Name Spinner tool from the landing page, spin the wheel, remove names if needed, and award points from the winner popup.

Quick tips

Use Setup > Students when you want to paste a fresh class list or clean up duplicate names.

Use Setup > Groups to create house or team structures before you start spinning.

Leave the selector on Quick list when you just want to use the current Students page ad hoc.

Save a class in Setup > Classes when you want to switch between prepared class setups quickly.

Turn on House Points from the names controls if you want the winner pop-up to offer point awarding.

Use Export in Results when you want a spreadsheet-ready record of names, times, houses, and points.
